This is an area we explored while we were there called Mesa Verde.
These communities were built back under the natural formed rocks.
Truly amazing to see in person if you are ever in the area!
Natural hot spring the girls just had to climb up on top of.
You can see some of the steam rising over to the left.
Couldn't miss a photo-op you know!! LOL
The girls got out and played in the snow....in their flip flops!!! Their winter coats weren't much help with their feet freezing off but they didn't want to take time to put real shoes on.
This is the little town of Silverton, Colorado. This delightful town is nestled down in the valley of the mountains. The photo was taken from atop the mountain, the first glimpse you get of the town as you start down the mountain towards it. It may not look like much from here, but it was a real treat. I highly recommend you take time to stop here if you are ever out that way, and spend the night in the Triangle Motel. Tell them Jayne sent you. The townspeople are so friendly and really made our stay wonderful. Time moves at a much SLOWER pace out there. If I didn't have roots here, I would have already moved there!!
